The Jivano family portraits were so special. The Jivani were celebrating officially adding a new member to the family - their son. It was such a happy time for them. I was so excited to be the one capturing this moment.
Their son had the cutest giggle and smile.
With younger kids, family portraits can be long for them so I always try to include fun actives like jumping and swinging. Just look at those smiles!
We had a beautiful day at the beach. Some clouds but not too much that you didn’t have sunlight and as the sun went down, the color it added to the sky was just gorgeous.
It can be hard to get parents by themselves with younger children so I always ask them to help me make mom and dad laugh while they stand next me out of frame. After I grab the shots I want, I ask the kids to run up to mom and dad and give them a big hug. Love the images that come from this pose.
Towards the end of the session, it got harder for the children to focus so the fact that they brought their dinosaurs was great. They were happy and we got images that are unique to them which I love for family portraits - showing family personalities.
Every session I ask if they want any images in the water. Most times families don’t always get wet, but this family decided to play tag with the water. The kids loved it! So much joy from this family portrait session.
